New Note: Presidential Executive Orders

Like watching a movie or television show multiple times, repeat readings of the President’s recent aviation Executive Orders reveals further insight into his administrative mindset, intentions and possible actions and opportunities for raising the age. The June 6 supersonics EO includes the directive that, “The Administrator of the FAA, … shall seek to secure bilateral aviation safety agreements with foreign aviation authorities as necessary for the safe international operation of supersonic aircraft.”The idea of bilateral work-arounds to ICAO delays has been a tactical conversation brought up for some time within the Raise the Age community by what is now the EPAS group; another concept that got talked down and shelved by others in sole leadership at the time. In the same fashion that Presidential Executive Orders now seem to indicate, time and circumstances are also catching up to EPAS’ advanced approach to international strategy and the different, innovative ways by which we can possibly Raise the Age soon.
